We recently had the pleasure of working with some really cool guys, who were going through a name change for their band, and needed a few shots to promote their new name. From here, we ended up shooting their latest album as well, and through the whole process, we’ve made some good friends from this thing that we call “work”. Our concept was a little different with this shoot, as you’ll see later, towards the end of this post. With a name like “The Avid Light”, we decided to use light. Lots of it. They’re a Christian band, and didn’t really want the focus to be about them, so we came up with the idea of blasting the scene out with light, and have them be just shapes… Silhouettes, and figures. Here are a few of my favorite shots from these two shoots.

It was an eventful two days, to say the least, but we got some great shots, that’ll work out quite nicely in their album design! We decided to be crazy, and go for quality over quantity, since they didn’t need a million images, but instead, needed some quickly that would look great on flyers, and throughout the pages of their new album. While we started inside on the first day, the second day was really where the magic happened. It was a beautiful day. If you need proof, then check out the next two pictures. Not too bad of a day, if I may say so myself.

Check out their Facebook page, if you get a chance, and stay tuned for their new album, which will be out superly soon.
Thanks, as always, for reading.![]()
