Giving Back, My New Server, and Guns

It’s time for the most random blog post yet for this here blog… So random, in fact, that you will forever remember where you were on this day, whilst reading these words.

First off, onto our most important update of the year…

After putting a lot of thought into it, Daniel and I have decided that we’re going to put forth a new system, with the world in mind.

Starting in March of 2011, 5% of every package we book, no matter how big or small, will go towards a charity of your choice. The world is an amazing place, and sadly, not everybody gets to enjoy it as much as we’re blessed to be able to ourselves. We want to help change that, a little at a time.

While we’re still working out the details of this change, we’re both extremely excited to be a part of something that we love, while being able to help others at the same time, in multiple ways.

Now, onto my new server… As you might have noticed, my site has been down for the past week or so! The upside of that, however, is that my site is now fully powered by wind energy! That’s right, folks. My site is now green. Boo yeah. That’s 1 for nature, and 0 for my old, slower server at Godaddy.

Now, onto the last part of this post… My toys! I decided that an official introduction was well overdue on here for these items that might perhaps be a part of some epic shoots that are soon to come… These are for the “other” shooting that I do, outside of photography, hehe.

And, just in case you’re wondering… That is an old military wing from an small airplane that we found that I shot these last pictures on. Our apartment seriously has so much random stuff everywhere. We even have an ejection seat… But more on that later.

Thanks, as always, for looking!

Mike Strout - Those are some slick guns!

(p.s. I bet I know where that wing is from)

Matthew Hogan - Mike… Your guess would probably be correct! We absolutely had to save it from it slowly falling apart (or getting buried) out in the open like it was, hehe.
